RAVEN - Donate Now

The governments of Alberta and Canada have authorized oil sands projects, military facilities and other development without any real regard for the rights of the Beaver Lake Cree and other Treaty Nations. The Beaver Lake Cree contend that the cumulative impact of industrial development has fractured the ecosystem, and rendered its lands, waters and resources inaccessible and unusable for the exercise of its Treaty rights.

Please give generously on TUESDAY NOV. 28. There are no fees on Giving Tuesday, making your donation a 100-per cent gift to the Tar Sands TrialBeaver Lake Cree’s legal defence!

  1. RAVEN’s inspires me because I think the wisdom of indigenous people about our relationship with nature is fundamentally right. European dominator culture has given us Climate Change and other man-made disasters, aside from the general difficulty in culture we experience when exponential growth meets finite resources. It is utterly arrogant to suppose western civilisation is superior to indigenous culture. I think we need to listen and learn from the indigenous peoples, and reform our civilisation to incorporate those wisdoms. That is the way to build a civilisation that will last the century.
