This is a guest post from RAVEN supporter Andrew Mara.

This September I did a trip into the Chilcotins with David Williams and on our last day we went into Fish Lake so I was finally able to see for myself what a beautiful area it is and what my donation dollars have been going to all these years.

I am taking the liberty of sending you a link to the final days photos I took at Fish Lake. It was a perfect day and the scenery was stunning, making for some great photos. And two, this area is presently threatened by Taseko Mines Ltd., who have proposed a huge open pit mine and holding pond that would devistate the countryside and contaminate the areas watershed. So here is a chance to see it in all it’s pristine glory!

If you are interested in learning more about the proposed mine go to https://www.wildernesscommittee.org/what_we_do/save_fish_lake Also by following this link you will find the same map as attached but being on the web it is interactive and one can zoom in or out with it. Although I like the Wilderness Committee, if you are considering a donation to help save Fish Lake and you want to get the best bang for your buck your donation would be better directed to Raven https://raventrust.com/case/tsilhqotin-nation/
