Anyone can hear what makes Cara Bateman’s voice special the moment she starts to sing. A true vocalist’s vocalist, she floats effortlessly between dreamy, sultry, and powerful, writing singable but complex songs that showcase the full breadth of her ability.

Throughout the pandemic, Cara has released three of four songs off of her upcoming EP, “Some Thoughts I’ve Had.” Each song is beautifully sparse with gorgeous R&B/soul instrumentation (recorded live off the floor) and perfectly features her stunning, raspy voice while elevating her captivating songwriting. The resulting sense of rawness, love, and longing resonates in every note of the  — these thoughts, like lavender lemonade on a sunny spring day, are sweet, sumptuous, and perfectly addictive.
