Learn how your business can become a RAVEN champion here.

Here’s our list of February supporters:

Discovery Coffee

Discovery Coffee is a must visit cafe in Victoria! There are four different locations around the city to grab a great cup of coffee, and maybe a delicious Yonni’s doughnut to go with it. Be sure to stop in on one of their Monthly Donation Days where they partner with different organizations and give 5% of their sales from all locations to a good cause! And for the month of February Discovery Coffee chose to donate to RAVEN! Thank you to Discovery Coffee and all the coffee drinkers who helped raise funds for Indigenous land defence.

Owl & Bear Studio – Donations from World Day of Social Justice

As a committed monthly contributor, we are so grateful that Owl & Bear Studio is a RAVEN Champion. And to top it all, on February 20, 2022, on World Day of Social Justice Day they donated 100% of their profits to RAVEN. Thank you Owl & Bear Studio for your continued support!

Seer Interactive

This digital marketing agency has deep roots in community care. As an organization founded on the principle idea that its team needs flexible schedules to contribute their time and talents to community work, this RAVEN Champion is changing the way folks do good business. Thank you to Seer Interactive for understanding the impact we can all have when we take action in our communities!

Frost and Ember Creations

Magic, wolves, faeries and the forests inspire this unique business. Frost and Ember Creations make handmade leather crafts, such as dog collars and leashes, and for the human friends you can find armour, belts, pouches, and more! We raise our hands to Frost and Ember for holding on to the inspiration of their childhoods and seeing the need to stand up for environmental justice so future generations have the opportunity to experience the magic of the natural world!

Core Geoscience Services Inc.

Core Geoscience Services Inc. (CoreGeo) is a Yukon-owned company that provides environmental services and regulatory support to create tailored solutions for a wide variety of projects. CoreGeo’s team provides technical expertise in various aspects of environmental services including technical reviews of major mines and infrastructure, contaminated sites, environmental assessments and permitting, and GIS. Thank you Core Geoscience Services Inc. for supporting RAVEN and Indigenous stewardship of the land.

The Backyard Project Farm Stand

The Backyard Project Farm Stand is a community run Farm Stand on Camosun Street in Victoria. This project centres community, kids, and access to food. Organizer, Marianne Unger says: 10% of proceeds go to RAVEN because food justice requires land justice. And we love to see community-driven projects that weave justice for all into the fabric of their work. You can find the Backyard Project Farm Stand at 1619 Camosun Street, Victoria!

The Paisley Notebook

The Paisley Notebook was firstly a pop-up dinner series rooted in Slow Food principles of good, fair and clean food for all. It is a project rooted in fairness and equality, but also aims to start conversations around the dinner table — whether social injustice, the importance of organic farming or issues important to Aman, the founder. Since 2017, the project has raised nearly $70k — which proves that small things really do add up!

Since 2020, Aman has decided to do smaller — and more manageable — acts of kindness through Edible Adventures spice blends. We are so impressed with Aman’s ability to transform good food and flavours into social justice and solidarity with Indigenous land defence.

Uniserve

For over three decades, Uniserve has been bringing innovative tech solutions to customers across Canada. Based in Vancouver, B.C., they provide smart, reliable services for home and business customers. They provide phone and internet services designed for their clients. It is great to see another local business standing up for Indigenous rights — many thanks, Uniserve, for being a RAVEN champion.

Soulfull

SOULFULL creates handmade jewellery from previously loved silverware. Upcycling antique cutlery into wearable adornments of art. We love this small business! Not only are they giving new purpose to antique cutlery, but they are supporting Indigenous communities who are working to create a better future for us all.
