Toast the Coast Festival at Jericho Beach
Our friends at Greenpeace are helping organize a celebration to show how much we love our coast and want to protect it from all its impending threats – including Northern Gateway. It happens on the first Saturday of the Week to End Enbridge and we’re excited to be a partner.
Bring your family, friends and join us for a beachside celebration of this beautiful coastline, with live music, incredible participatory art, and fun games and activities! Come Toast the Coast and send a message to Harper that people — not oil — belong on these beaches.
Please invite your friends, share toastcoast.org and use #toastthecoast to let everyone know beaches are for people, not oil! and to join us on June 13.
This family friendly evening will include a 9-foot floating lantern based on the design of Roy Henry Vickers, a rap battle roasting Harper, live painting, food trucks, and hands-on art installations.
This event will be taking place on unceded Coast Salish Territory of the Xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
