VIDEO: Busting BC’s Dependency on Fossil Fuel

Thank-you to everyone who attended the Busting the Fossil Fuel Corridor webinar hosted by The West Coast Climate Action Network in partnership with RAVEN! We were joined by three Indigenous land protectors whose voices and stories showed us just how much impact we can have when we work as a collective and hold on to hope of a cleaner future.

Watch the video below to hear Rueben George, and Chiefs Smogelgem and Roland Willson speak on how Indigenous Communities have been and continue to be the frontlines of the resistance to BC’s love affair with fossil fuel.

As folks across BC come together in the aftermath of the intense flooding across the province, I am so thankful to the Indigenous leaders and Land protectors who are leading the climate justice movement across the globe.

And a special thank you to Rueben George, and Chiefs Smogelgem and Roland Willson for sharing their words with us last night. There was one clear theme that rang through the night: taking action on climate change must be a collective effort, led by the Indigenous peoples of these territories.
