Grab a paddle and join Talaysay Tours and the Shishalh Nation for a paddle, rally & picnic to raise funds for the First Nations legal challenges against the Site C Dam. On July 9th, join thousands of people across the province who are grabbing a paddle and supporting the First Nations to stop Site-C in the courts. Their legal challenge is one of the last obstacles standing in the path of the Site C dam – they can win this, if we stand together.
Description of our Tour: First Nations Interpretive Paddle – Guided Kayak Tour in Sechelt Inlet with full instruction and safety orientation. No previous experience required. The tour begins with a cultural introduction. Your guides will assist you to get on and off the water. We will paddle up the Inlet, share stories, history and indigenous ecological sustainable practices. We will come back to the beach and share a snack and cold beverage.

Time: 10:00 am (we suggest you arrive 15 minutes early)
End-time: 2:00 pm Duration: 3.5 hours
Purpose: All across the country thousands of people are going to Grab A Paddle to stand with First Nations against Site –C-Dam. Talaysay Tours and the Shishalh Nation are proudly supporting #GrabaPaddle. We are donating the proceeds this July to support First Nations against Site-C-Dam.

What to bring:
Bring a kayak or canoe. You can rent a kayak, for an additional fee, but we recommend you rent in advance. We ask you to bring your own picnic lunch and water. Please bring water shoes, Dress for the weather. We recommended to bring a towel for later.
We suggest you bring a folding chair if you wish to sit at the park during the picnic.
Bring a drum or rattle if you have one.
Location: Porpoise Bay Provincial Park, Sechelt BC – right beside the children’s playground.
