Come on out on September 20th, 2023 to enjoy a studio show of unreleased music from rising star - Tia Wood!

Tia Wood is a singer-songwriter from Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Alberta. At the age of 20, she left her rural Alberta home and made her way to Los Angeles, where she became part of a phenomenal cultural and spiritual movement led by Indigenous creators who — by bringing together decolonizing messages with passionate and ancient traditions — are dropping a bomb of revolutionary love.

This event will also feature HK aka Higher Knowledge. HK is a Hip Hop artist, Youth Worker, Grassroots Community Organizer residing in Coast Salish territories on Canada’s West Coast.  The complexities of his mixed Indigenous/immigrant identities, state of existential diaspora, as well as his traumatic upbringing fuels a lot of the themes in his music.

Location: Fulford Hall, Salt Spring Island
Tickets are on a $25-$35-$50 sliding scale:
