It's time to take action for a climate-stable future.

April 22, 2026 is Earth Day, and this year the theme is “Our Power, Our Planet.”

With this theme, the Earth Day organization is saying “Progress does not happen in silence. It happens when people show up. Environmental progress is built through everyday action—from communities protecting ecosystems to innovators advancing solutions. Clean air, safe water, and climate resilience aren’t optional—they’re essential. For Earth Day 2026, we’re mobilizing at scale. Every action counts. Every voice matters.”

RAVEN agrees with this sentiment. Securing a climate-safe future will take bold action and courageous solidarity.

With RAVEN’s We Are All One Planet campaign we are supporting two Chiefs from Wet’suwet’en House groups of the Likhts’amisyu Clan who are leading the way in climate action. In their groundbreaking legal challenge, Misdzi Yikh v Canada, the two House groups are taking Canada to court for failing to lower emissions in line with commitments under the Paris Agreement. This violates their Charter rights to life, liberty, and security of the person, as well as all our collective future. A win for these Wet’suwet’en groups is a win for us all.

Ahead of Earth Day, RAVEN is asking supporters to pledge an action to show our solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en House groups. Let’s model the power of collective action when it comes to environmental progress.

From pledging to make a donation on Earth Day to support the Chiefs in court, to sharing about the legal challenge on social media, to organizing an online crowdfundraiser, to hosting your own community event to bring people together—action can take many forms. There is space in the movement for everyone, whether you are still learning or are a seasoned organizer.

The Chiefs are taking action on behalf of all of us. Pledge your Earth Day action and show your solidarity for the Chiefs and our shared futures now.
