We Are All One Planet: A Night with Wet’suwet’en House Groups Before They Head to Court

Wet’suwet’en Chiefs from two Houses of the Likhts’amisyu Clan are heading to court, and they need your support. Join us on August 20th to hear from representatives from the Houses involved in the case and their legal counsel about their climate litigation and what’s at stake with their motion to strike hearing the following day!

If you’re in the Vancouver area, come on out to this solidarity event on August 20th from 7pm-9pm at the Vancouver Unitarians (949 W 49th Ave) in Vancouver. Not in the Vancouver area? No problem — the speeches from this event will be live-streamed through YouTube, as we would love for everyone from around the world to join us — we are all one planet, after all. The virtual component will go from 7pm-8pm PT.

We want people everywhere to take action in solidarity with the Likhts’amisyu House groups. After the speeches, those of us in person will be making posters together with words of support like “We Are All One Planet” to post on social media. We want to inundate our feeds with a call to action to friends, family, and even frenemies in our networks to show their solidarity with the Chiefs from the Likhts’amisyu Clan. Together, we can raise awareness for the Chiefs’ climate action and tell Canada that the public sides with them in their pursuit of climate justice.
