Crowdfundraising is a relatively easy and super impactful way to support RAVEN and our work with partnered Nations. For centuries, people have been coming together to raise funds for each other as a way to redistribute wealth, support grassroots movements, and access funds when governments and institutions fail their people. Since RAVEN launched in 2009, crowdfundraising has been one of the most effective ways RAVEN has raised awareness and funds for our campaigns.

Start a Fundraise Up Crowdfunding Page
Setting up your page takes less than five minutes. It’s quick, easy, secure, and effective!
- Click the “Start a Fundraiser” button on RAVEN’s website here.
- Add the details requested, including the name of your fundraiser (e.g., “My Birthday Fundraiser,” or “Help Raise Money to Protect the Breathing Lands,” or “Donate to Heiltsuk’s Legal Challenge”).
- Add your fundraising goal—start small or dream big!
- Draft a short message about why you are fundraising.
- Set your goal date.
All of these personalizations can be changed in your Fundraise Up Donor Portal at any time: raventrust.donorsupport.co
Through your donor portal, you will also be able to keep track of all incoming donations, see how close you are to reaching your goal, connect with your supporters, and more. Once your page is up, you can share it with your networks via a personalized link or QR code. It’s that easy.
Inspiration from RAVEN’s Crowdfundraisers
Dare Wren Smiles
Darren, known as Dare Wren Smiles, is a dreamy-folk musician who raises funds for RAVEN by having a crowdfunding link in the bio of his social media platforms, Spotify Artist profile, and his website to encourage fans to donate directly. He is also donating a portion of his album streaming sales to RAVEN.
Aangen and Heartspace
A group of hikers led by Gurbeen at Aangen and Shira at Heartspace embarked on a week-long hike across the Bruce Trail from Mono Mills to Collingwood to raise funds for Heiltsuk Nation. Read more about their fundraiser here.
Libris Simas Ferraz
Libris celebrates his birthday with RAVEN by holding a birthday fundraiser. He’s done this for the past two years by asking for donations in lieu of birthday gifts, with funds received going to support RAVEN’s ongoing work.
