ABOUT RAVEN
RAVEN is starting a book club! Join us on April 3, 2025 at 5pm PT (8pm ET) to discuss the book Valley of the Birdtail by two esteemed law professors, Douglas Sanderson and Andrew Snobo Sniderman.
The book dives into history, reconciliation, power, and how Canada has become what it is today. Be ready for a discussion about the law, racism, colonialism, and reconciliation. We will tie these themes into RAVEN’s work supporting Indigenous Nations in going to court to enforce their rights and protect their territories.
Depending on the number of attendees, individual participation may vary.
The book can be purchased here: Valley of the Birdtail or from your local independent bookstore. Many libraries also carry copies or audiobook versions.
We will be hosting two more book club meetings over the year on June 5 and October 9 so stay tuned for more info and the next books!
Register to join the discussion here.
