As we near the end of the year and start to prepare for another year of standing up for Indigenous sovereignty and environmental justice, we can’t help but take a look back on the ups and downs of our work, and appreciate the people and community that carry us through it all. Let’s take a moment to reflect on all we have accomplished and everything we have been through as the sun begins to set on the past year.

Thanks to the generosity of RAVEN’s incredible community, we have been able to support a total of 9 cases with 20 First Nations through campaigns and interventions. Businesses, organizers, and donors have shown up this year. Check out the numbers to understand the impact of your support.

The numbers are impressive, but RAVEN is also so much more than the numbers. At our core, we are driven by the need for justice and the Nations we partner with, who guide our work and keep us focused on the importance of legal, land, and title rights. Read on to learn more about the strides our campaigns have made this year.

We are constantly inspired by our partner Nations and community members, thank you for grounding us and uplifting our work. Coming together and feeling our collective strength and solidarity energizes us and reminds us that we aren’t alone. We are in this together. This year, we gathered on the land (and water) for another wonderful Festival Afloat and we welcomed new team members.

We are endlessly grateful for the community that makes RAVEN who we are. As the sun sets on this past year and we take this time to rest, reflect, and learn from the lessons of 2024, we look forward to what’s on the horizon for 2025. With it, we bring our renewed efforts and deep beliefs of a brighter future where Indigenous rights and ways of being are respected and upheld, and the earth is cherished and cared for. We are so fortunate to be able to do this work alongside each and every one of you. Let’s soar into 2025 together and see what new heights we can reach!
